FRESH PICS
Some photos, new and old, that attracted my attention lately.
I didn't think that I would have a relavent photo so quickly but while I was building this page, Friday, August 23, something happened that did catch my attention. The photo shows the rollers of a new task chair that I bought today and assembled a few hours ago. I'm using it at my computer. The rollers are fast and the chair moves easily, so easily in fact that a few minutes ago I sat down and the chair was not under me; It had rolled back a few feet. My bottom hit the floor and I skinned my elbow but otherwise OK. Laughing at myself!
This experiece reminded me of a pic that I took back in 2007. I was sitting in a rocker, on our deck, when the left rocker broke and the chair collapsed. I tumbled out onto the deck and was laughing as I got up.
Flavor Me Joyful
It is not the trials, tribulations and circumstances that color and flavor our lives as much as it is our reactions and attitudes concerning those circumstances.
April 21, 2007
This afternoon I went out on the deck and cleaned off this wicker rocking chair,
intending to sit down and enjoy some nice sunshine. As I sat down, both legs and the
rocker on the left side broke off and the chair and I rolled over on the
deck. While I was lying there, half on my side and half on my stomach, I started
laughing at the ridiculous position I was in. I believe it is good to laugh and
I find numerous occasions to laugh at myself. Any body else like that??
I recently enjoyed this scene at Weko Beach, in Bridgman, Michigan. It was a beautiful, warm day and I was glad to be alive to enjoy the beauties that God has created.
